Pumpkin Pretzels with Pumpkin Spice

Mix together water, sugar, and yeast and allow it to foam up and activate.

Stir in the pumpkin puree.

Add half of the flour and salt and stir

Add softened butter and stir to incorporate.

Add the remaining flour and bring it together with your hands.

Knead the dough for 5 minutes on a floured surface until smooth.

Add to a greased bowl, cover, and allow it to rise until doubled in size. (doubled here in photo)

Cut the dough into 8 equal pieces.

Roll out the dough into a thin log.

Shape the dough into pretzel shapes.

Add to a baking soda water bath for :30 seconds, then bake.

Brush with butter then cover with pumpkin spice and sugar.

Break in and enjoy!
