Apple Crisp Shortbread Bars

Make the shortbread crust then add it to a prepared 9x13" pan.

Press the shortbread evenly into the pan, getting into the corners, then bake.

Peel and slice apples, then toss them with flour, spices, and sugar.

Combine melted butter, brown sugar, oats, and flour.

Use a fork to mix the streusel together into crumbles.

Add 1/3 of the crumble on top of the par-baked shortbread.

Arrange the apples in layers across the entire base.

Press down the apples gently.

Add the remaining crumble topping on top of the apples, then bake.

Cool the bars in the fridge, then slice and enjoy!
